La Casa Del Fonk Summer Edition 2011 Part of the Kingz Of The Mountians Weekend” La Casa Del Fonk was created with the intentions to re infuse the youth of today with the fundamentals of what a real Hip Hop jam is and how these jams unify all elements of hip hop under one roof. The Concept behind this years gathering will be strictly skill oriented by making our Hip Hop community bring there skills to the table. We will be hosting an urban spray can art 2 vs 2 contest outside the Venue. We will also continue with our “Earn Your Stripes” bboy/bgirl cyphers inside the venue. Bboys & bgirls will be judged by special guests on the following categories. - Crew colors & gear - How your crew is representing in the cyphers and throught the day This is a new criteria that will be set in place at the once a year big summer jam. The Idea behind the “Earn Your Stripes Cypher” is a new but old concept at the same time but is very necessary in todays bboy/bgirl contest driven movement. There is no easy road to get props & be respected in this culture. You must “Earn Your Stripes” in the trenches wether it be in the MC Cyphers, Graffiti Trenches, Bboy/Bgirl Cyphers or the Dj game carrying record crates and diggin for gems, the grind remains the same and there is one goal to be achieved……make a name for your self and your crew in the hip hop community. This is for your honor & Reputation.. The Lordz of Finesse & Radiobums who have brought you the Mighty 4 here in Denver for the Past three years have decided to bring you a much needed all element Hip Hop Jam Dedicated to our own city Denver,Co. This Jam will continue in tribute to the first Hip Hop Shop in Denver, Co. opened by Asia One and named La Casa Del Fonk.
